Sorry for the non-answer but why not? It's a popular tool with a lot of documentation and has grown up a lot in the last few years. It's not really the same PHP that people habitually dump on anymore.

I just want to know where to start, I asked people what will be the good language to start in back end programming many said python would be good but i really want to learn php because most cms use it and the job market here in my place really needs php developers. thank you so much guys for answering :D

christian lian huat toh compared to what? Like Corey mentioned it's not really the same PHP that often gets dumped on. Plus, don't make the mistake in thinking that you're only going to learn one language. I work with both Ruby and PHP often and what you learn about one will influence how you approach the other.
