Please help I can`t understand my task clearly. I need on the anchor to add new classList "selected". How I can do it?

I wrote: var anchor=anchor.classList.contains("selected");

app.js
var anchor = document.querySelector("a");

//Add the class to the classList "selected
anchor.classList.contains("selected");

//Toggle the class "live"
index.html
<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
<body>

  <a href="#">Home</a>

  <script src="app.js"></script>

</body>
</html>

The contains method checks to see if the element already has the "selected" class. To add the class, use the add method.

anchor.classList.add("selected");

thanks I`ve solved this task.
