You have just doubled up on your code where you do not need to:

.main-con.main-content p { // too many .main-content font-weight: bold; // not closing bracket

.main-con p { //target the elements you want font-weight: bold; // add the style wanted }

If this is your original code it appears you have placed the selector inside the css rule and also forgot the rules closing }.
