Can you please update the course? Everything from this section that I have searched in the Android documentation seems to be deprecated. People are investing time and effort only to learn something outdated.

I am a beginner as well, but I found if you do research whenever you run into a problem with this course, you can find a solution or a work around to get you back on track. I have found with the research I am doing to find a solution to the problem, I obtain more knowledge that could help me in future projects.
