Practicing Introductions.java in IntelliJ IDEA and got Exception error

Here's my code:

import java.io.Console;

public class Introductions {

public static void main(String[] args) {
    Console console = System.console();
    //Welcome to the Introductions program! Your code goes below here
    console.printf("Hello, my name is Oscar.");
}

}

Here's my error:

Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NullPointerException at Introductions.main(Introductions.java:8)

When I commented out the code within the public class Introductions scope, it ran just fine. But I cannot figure out how to fix it.

This may offer an explanation. See the Stack Overflow link in Alexander Nikiforov's answer for the reason you see NullPointerException.
