Prefered Placeholder Email Address Domain Name

Would something like @example.com would be a better domain for placeholder email addresses instead of @gmail.com where someone might actually make that one someday?

Of course, you are right. From a general precaution perspective, example.com could also be occupied, if you wanted to make sure you could buy a domain and use that.

Good thing is that example.com is bought for the reason that it can be used freely for example purposes, so that makes it a perfect example!

For confirmation, checkout http://example.com

Thanks! :D I was just asking because one of the "HTML Basics" videos uses an @gmail.com email address as an example....

I think the video was either "Semantic HTML: <header>, <footer> and <section>" or "Sectioning Content with <article>, <nav> and <aside>".

Also if you click on "view all discussions for this video" and then try to ask a new question, it doesn't get attached to the video & goes into a more general area instead...

I honestly stumble upon little minor mistakes on this site more then I am comfortable with...

You can make the staff aware of this. Open the video and click "Report video" somewhere around the right bottom of the page. They might find it important as well.

I only see a "Get Help" (which I missed because I went to "View All.." then "Ask"), not a "Report Video". I will try "Get Help" and post a focused suggestion about replacing using @example.com instead of @gmail.com in the video.

Yeah, now I don't see it either. Maybe it's only at the new videos which are considered experimental. I'm sure I've seen something like that a couple of days ago, so that could be the case.
