Python Python Collections (2016, retired 2019) Lists Disemvowel

Problem

My code doesn't give me the proper result. Don't know why ?

disemvowel.py
def disemvowel(word):
    word_array = list(word)
    vowels=["a", "e", "i", "o", "u", "A", "E", "I", "O", "U"]
    for letter in word_array:
        for sign in vowels:
            if sign==letter:
                word_array.remove(sign)
    word="".join(word_array)
    return word

You're modifying the word_array when you use remove. So you could have another list called unmodified_word_array that you don't change and the word_array that you do change.
