Problems with php code challenges

Hello,

I have experienced a number of issues with several php code challenges.

I frequently receive an error stating that there has been a "communication" error. My internet is very good and I don't lose connection with any other open tabs, just treehouse. A particular instance of this is where it appears that the page is trying to load something from Facebook (bottom left corner) but the request is timing out and I am receiving an error message. The bottom of the page states "waiting for connect.facebook.com".

I am on a mac running OSX El Capitan, and using the latest version of Chrome.

Has anyone else run into this and/or know of a solution?

Thank you,

Carlos

This is something several other users have reported as well. I don't think it is related to the courses, so it is either a Treehouse issue with their servers or a larger internet based problem (such as your ISP).

Ah okay thanks, I am going to try an incognito window; support said it could be a chrome extension, so that may work.

This was posted 3 days ago by a staff member. They are doing major upgrades to the system that serves up everything (including workspaces). The other day, I couldn't for the life of me launch a workspace for Node.js. But today, it's fine. I'm guessing they're doing it in batches? :) Here's the post. https://teamtreehouse.com/community/workspaces-status-update

Thanks Jennifer, I had also experienced the "not authorized" error a few days ago, but the current problem is different, although, as you say, it could be related. Hopefully once the migrations are complete and more resources are available, the communication errors I am receiving will stop! :)
