Hello, i am unable to get the prompt dialog and alert to be displayed in the browser. Please see code below.

<!DOCTYPE html> <html lang="en"> <head> <meta charset="UTF-8"> <title>Practice JavaScript Variables</title>

</head> <body> <script> src="practice.js"</script> </body> </html>

var firstName = prompt("What is your first name?"); var lastName = prompt("What is your last name?"); var fullName = firstName.toUpperCase() + " " + lastName.toUpperCase(); var numCharacters = fullName.length; alert("The string \"" + fullName + "\" is" + numCharacters + " characters long.");

  <body>
    <script> src="./practice.js"</script>

and in your practice.js file, ensure you have something like

prompt("step instructions")

alert(".....")

The js file should be on the same folder level as your html file.
