public StringProperty timerTextProperty case sensitive?

I ran into an issue last night where my timer would reset to 25:00 after pushing reset but wouldnt count down. After some looking around i found out it was because i had the "T" in timer capitalized in the method above (TextTimerProperty()) once i changed it to the correct casing everything worked fine. I dont understand how this works though as the method is not referenced at all within the code. Any explanation on this?
