Python Basics - Challenge (try and except)

Challenge Task 2 of 3 Let's make sure we're always working with floats. Convert your arguments to floats before you add them together. You can do this with the float() function.

I can get it to work, please help

trial.py 
def add(num1, num2):
    avg = add(num1, num2)
    float(add)
    return (num1+num2)

avg(2,8)
