Python Decorator '@'

Can anyone tell the definition and purpose of the decorators in Python,

I know that It helps us to give it the route on the url but other than that I don't understand what is the purpose.

e.g.= @app.route('/') <-- I understand this

but not this: @login_required, or @login_manager.user_loader
