Python Python Basics (2015) Python Data Types Specific Index value

Python Index code challenge

Need a little help thanks.

Let's practice with indexes! Make a new variable named var1 that is either a list or a string. Make sure that var1[5], the item with an index value of 5, is the letter "t".

Hi Nathan

The code challenge asks you to create a list or string but to make sure that index 5 is "t". So indexes 0 to 4 can be anything you want. If i wanted to a create a list with index 4 with the string 'hi' i would do it like so.

#my list ["a","b","c","d","hi"].
#index 0 1 2 3 4

hope this helps you to complete the challenge and understand lists.

Thanks Andreas. However I am still getting an error message.

Yes it does. Got it. Thank you.
