Question about Begins With

What is the character limit on the the Begins With. How big and how small can the characters in the quotes be?

Doesn't actually have a limit, it could be an entire phrase or word. For how small, it could be a single letter. I don't know about just an empty character containing nothing but, I don't see why not.
