WordPress How to Build a WordPress Blog Without Coding Finding Good WordPress Plugins and Themes Themes and Plugins Quiz

Question True Or False = In order to add a contact form to your WordPress site you will have to use a plugin.

This is false but you have the correct answer as true. You don't need a plugin to have a contact form on a word press site. I understand this course is for beginners but its misleading and may make people think contact forms always have to be done by a plugin.

Ghost,

You don't "have" to use a plugin, you could code a form into the site/page you wanted with HTML (Front-end) or PHP in template files. The plugin sure make it easier though. Ninja Forms, Contact Form 7, Gravity Forms etc all have a lot of predefined setups, fields and security that just makes coding your own a little redundant.

Hi I know you don't "have" to. That is why I posted this because its false and the answer is true.

Sorry Ghost, misunderstood, I would say in context of the course that the answer is correct, its a starters course and unless you have advanced HTML/CSS or PHP (In wordpress format) skills you are unlikely to achieve this without a plug in. In fact even with the skills you more often than not use a plug in for it.

Sure thing. I understand where your coming from and I understand its a very beginners course. Beginner courses are critical. This is a bad thing to teach new people. A much better answer would be "No but its a lot easier". That way the beginner knows they don't have to but can.
