Rails server Compute Engine

I am having trouble setting up my rails server on a google compute engine.

I set up a server from my house and port forwarded correctly and it all works great, but when I tried to do the same thing with the compute engine I cannot seem to connect to the server..

Anyone know how to allow traffic through port 3000 on the compute engine? (I think that is my issue)

1 Answer

rails s -b 0.0.0.0 -p 3000

That solved my problem... strange but it worked!

I found this solution at serverfault

P.S. You also need to port forward to make this work in the Compute Engine.
