really nice people just helped me but for some reason i am still very confused on the function.

dont know whats wrong with the func

You are almost there. You just need to return the full name now with string interpolation.

struct Person {
    let firstName: String
    let lastName: String

    func fullName() -> String {
      return "\(firstName) \(lastName)"
    }
}
