RecyclerView is very slow.

Is there any way to improve the performance of the RecyclerView? Currently on scroll it lags quite a bit and makes for a very unpleasant experience.

Actual Device. Its a Note 4 Edge. It seems like its the images taking time to load.

I had that problem when i was downloading images from the server or from the internet directly. The app becomes slow and eventually crashes if the image file is big.

The best thing to do is to scale the size of the image and cache in your internal or external storage.

Note: RecyclerView is not slow.

Happy coding!
