Python Flask Basics Welcome to Flask Request args

Request returns not 200 when I use same code as in video

What's wrong with this? I didn't change the route.

flask_app.py
from flask import Flask
from flask import request

app = Flask(__name__)

@app.route('/')
def index(name="Csanád"):
    name = request.args.get('name', name)
    return "Hello {name}".format(name)

Hi there! You put the variable name inside the open and curly braces. They should be empty so as to tell Python please insert this variable at this spot. This line:

return "Hello {name}".format(name)
#should look like this
return "Hello {}".format(name)

Hope this helps! :sparkles:
