Resource & Record: Are they Synonymous?

Kenneth intro's the terms resource and record in his REST API course, but I'm not clear if these terms essentially mean the same thing or if they're different in some way. Thanks for clarifying!

After a brief search, I am led to believe that these two terms are used interchangeably. Hope this helps (though 4 months, you probably figured it out already)!
