retrieving value from input with jQuery

Please I need help with this challenge

You can use the $titleInput variable you had earlier declared to obtain the value:

 var titleValue=$titleInput .val(); 
  //Set the user input as the preview title. 
  $previewTitle.text(titleValue);

You have not assigned the value to the titleValue variable, the reason you dont see the expected result
