Returning Variables in Reverse Geolocation Swift

Hello Everyone, I am stumped!!! I want to return variables (really user postalcode) using reverse geolocation. The problem is that everything I get is read only. Whether I call it via a closure method or whether I use property observers. I am truly out of ideas. The problem apparently is that I am forced into asynchronous calls. Apparently this is a lot more straight forward in java than in swift. Please help me if you can.

Thanks
