Hello bro This is the correct answer

var lastName = document.getElementsByTagName("span")[1];

Here we are accessing the document object and calling "getElementsByTagName" method on it using a dot(.) notation. Inside the brackets we put what kind of elements we want to select..in this case we want to select the span element. but the question says to only select the SECOND SPAN...thats why i included the index of 1. hope you got it...rate my answer as the best

I have done that several times and it keeps saying Task 1 is nolonger passing

wtf? no it cant be i already tried the question and the code i put entered perfectly

it finally worked!!! had coded getElement instead of getElements

thanx!!! you the best
