setAttribute() && exec() commands

I tryied use this commands in my localhost and they don't work anymore.
In July 2014 i saw in the PHP.net and find this NEW command and changed the old 2 lines to this new one 
setAttribute(PDO::ATTR_DEFAULT_FETCH_MODE, PDO::FETCH_OBJ);
