JavaScript JavaScript Basics (Retired) Introducing JavaScript Your First JavaScript Program

Should I learn HTML first and then start javascript or it is ok to learn javascript as a first language ?

I am on javascript basics now and sometimes in quizes I need to enter some code to html file what I cannot do yet.. So I thought maybe I need to come back to treehouse after learning html?.. Sadly threehouse does not have html course..

I don't think that's a good idea. You need to have at least some basic understanding of HTML.

Getting an idea of HTML would really help in understanding treehouse courses as most of them in the JavaScript track are browser based (especially in the starting) and you would not be able to understand the concepts of DOM if you don't know HTML. So HTML is must and it would be absolutely great if you could invest some time in CSS, just some basics of CSS would surely help.
