I am going to learn Ruby regardless so should I just start learning Ruby now or should I learn Sass before Ruby?

If you are very familiar with HTML/ CSS before you should take with back-end Ruby. Both Sass and Ruby are completely different, Sass is part of CSS preprocessor that focus on web appearances while Ruby focus mainly on developing web-based applications and database fundamentals. The best I can suggest is to learn Ruby before you will learn more about Rails (frameworks) that you will learn more stuffs including Sass.
