Shouldn't we figure out the data types, structures, storage, retrieval, presentation, editing etc functions first?

Since this application is depends on data, i.e. songs, shouldn't we first figure out what our data looks like, where it comes from, how to store it, how to retrieve it, how to present it, how to update it etc long before attempting to implement user stories? Thank you
