show list not working [Solved]

as far as I can tell, the code I typed looks exactly the same, but when I type in the SHOW command, all I get is, "here's your list" . It doesn't tell me what is on the list like it does in the video, so where is my code wrong?

# make a list to hold onto our items
shopping_list = []

def show_help():
# print out instructions
    print("What should we pick up at the store?")
    print("""
Enter 'DONE' to stop adding items.
Enter 'HELP' for this help.
Enter 'SHOW' to see your current list.
""")
def show_list():
    # print out the list
    print("Here's your list:")

for item in shopping_list:
    print(item)

def add_to_list(new_item):
    # add new items
    shopping_list.append(new_item)
    print("Added {}. List now has {} items.".format(new_item, len(shopping_list)))

show_help()

#ask for new items
while True:
    new_item = input("> ")
    # be able to quit
    if new_item == 'DONE':
        break
    elif new_item == 'HELP':
        show_help()
        continue
    elif new_item == 'SHOW':
        show_list()
        continue
    add_to_list(new_item)

show_list()

Figured it out. Had something indented wrong. So much for python being easier than other languages. Oh, you had 3 spaces instead of 4, code fails!

ya I find it easier to type the code for the quizzes and what not in to a program like wing or sublime. That way when it fails for stuff like that i have an error indicator and a line to go to
