So Letter has two superclasses. Symbole of course, but why objects? Does it have something to do with an instance?

All classes inherit from the base class object by default. This is also true for classes that specify no inheritance, including built in classes. 

>>> list.__mro__
(<class ‘list’>, <class ‘object’>)
