HTML jQuery Basics (2014) Creating a Simple Lightbox Perform: Part 2

[solved] event.preventDefault(); not working

The browser still does not seem to be running the event.preventDefault(); and I cant figure out why. I have checked my code up and down and its not wrong per the video. I put the same code in on the code challenge and it came out as being correct. Can anyone help ?

OOOOOooops Silly mistake! I didnt put in the # on the id selector in the script. Sorry guys.
