Some technical problems running my code through Chrome

I've been debugging this code for a few hours now. The code seems to be correct after staring at each line of code to make sure I have not spelled anything incorrectly. Running this code through WorkSpaces yields perfect results. However, running this code through Chrome displays an "Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'children' of null" on line 143.

    // Problem: User Interaction doesn't provide desired results
    // Solution: Add interactivety so the user can manage daily tasks

    var taskInput = document.getElementById("new-task"); // new-task
    var addButton = document.getElementsByTagName("button")[0]; // first button
    var incompleteTasksHolder = document.getElementById("incomplete-tasks"); // incomplete-tasks
    var completedTasksHolder = document.getElementById("completed-tasks"); // completed-tasks

    // New task List Item
    var createNewTaskElement = function ( taskString ){
        // Create List Item
        var listItem = document.createElement("li");

            // input (checkbox)
            var checkBox = document.createElement("input");
            // label

    // Set the click handler to the addTask function
    addButton.onclick = addTask;

    // Cycle over incompleteTasksHolder ul list items

    }

I use a separate text editor

I don't know what I did to remove the color.
Sorry in advance

Hi David,

I fixed up the code for you. Have a look at the forum code with the markdown cheatsheet to refresh on how to do it. :-)
