Somebody was informed about the new politics in the enrollment plans?

Apparently, there are many courses that will no longer be accessible from a basic account, as it always has been, but now we will have to pay a Pro account to access advanced material...

Was anyone informed about this?

I had started the Sass Advanced course a couple of months ago, but I had to stop for lack of time. Now that I want to continue, they tell me that I have to pay a Pro account to finish watching the course...

They say they do this to better segment the audience, leaving advanced content just for Pro accounts.

Personally, I do not like that decision, because the promise of selling when I entered Treehouse (over a year ago) was unlimited access to all courses, regardless of my knowledge of any subject.

Anyone else has happened?

The only difference between basic and Pro is 'Video Downloads' and 'Conference videos & bonus content'. All courses should be available to basic enrollment. I'm on the basic enrollment currently working on WordPress Theme & Plugin Developent track.

Hi Ken,

There was a change in the last few months and some courses are pro now.

Ken Stone, yeah, I tought that, but when I'm trying to enter to the Advanced Sass courses that I had already started, it show me this message:

"Bummer! This is just a preview. You need a Pro account to view the entire video. Upgrade Now"

Problem with bassic accounts

Can you try to join the Advanced Sass course and see what you get? Advanced Sass

I thought it was a problem with my account, but I wrote to support, and they were the ones who told me what I put in the first post, but I find it very strange because they never warned about such changes, or I do not know if it was me Who did not know...

Yes you are right I only get a preview and Jason Anello mentioned above that there was a change a few months ago. But it seems the enrollment page that describes the differences between the subscription levels hasn't been updated?

Ken Stone Yes it's correct. They have not updated that information. That's why it seems strange to me, because they have not warned the students about that change and I think it's a big change in the way we perceive the platform.

In my case, I have not received a single email about these changes, and I found out was when I tried to re-enter the Advanced Sass course

Yeah Alon Lubin , it's very sad, since there are students, as in my case, that we are not experts in all subjects.

For example, I feel very comfortable with HTML, CSS and Sass, so I want to see the Sass advanced courses, but in the rest of the topics, I consider myself a beginner, therefore not worth paying a Pro account to access to the advanced courses of a single subject, knowing that in the other subjects you will see only the basic courses.

How many referrals do you need for a free pro plan?

Ken Stone if each referral gives you $5, you need 8 referrals to get a free Pro plan.

Are you talking about the affiliate program?

https://teamtreehouse.com/account/referrals For every person who joins Treehouse, we will give you 20% off your monthly bill. If five people join, that’s 100% off your individual enrollment! As long as that persons account stays active, the discount will continue to apply to your monthly subscription.

So I guess it's still 5 people, 20% for each one, regardless of enrollment subscription level.
