Sorry to be annoying. I found that asking questions was highly helpful and I thank this community. How can I do this?

I am very confused. What is an index value? I mean, I know what it is, but how do I use it in this instance

loops.swift
let numbers = [2,8,1,16,4,3,9]
var sum = 0
var counter = 0

// Enter your code below

while counter < numbers.count {

      counter += 1
      sum += counter

}

Hi Camille - Lets break this one down to assist you in understanding

You have task 1 correct! Great Job! In the second task you use the value of counter as an index value, retrieve each value from the array and add to the sum variable that was provided to us. Let me know if this still does not make sense. It may also be helpful to put this in playgrounds so you can view what is returned. Happy Coding :)

let numbers = [2,8,1,16,4,3,9]
var sum = 0
var counter = 0

// Enter your code below

while counter < numbers.count {

  sum += numbers[counter]
  counter += 1
}
