Spring Aspect Oriented Programming?

Chris mentions AOP in the "A High-Level View of Spring" video in the Spring Basics course, but I never see any @Aspect or other AOP annotations used in his code, or mentioned again. Did I miss something, or does he just mention it and we actually never use it in the courses in the Java Web Development track?
