can you please specify what are you doing or what error are you getting? a printscreen could be a very helpful tool :)

If you're on OSX, did you try going to your System Preferences > MySQL and clicking on "Start Server"?

I noticed the new version of Workbench is was upgraded since the Treehouse videos were created. Hope that helps!
