still confused on how to add strings. For example, trying to add firstName + lastName + role; but continue to get error.

let msg = firstName + lastName + "role.";

First, never put quotes around a variable name. But you will need to include some quoted strings to add the spaces and the colon between the variables to match the example in the instructions. But you won't need a period.
