Python Python Collections (Retired) Dictionaries Word Count

Stuck on word_count quiz...

"Create a function named word_count() that takes a string. Return a dictionary with each word in the string as the key and the number of times it appears as the value."

What I have so far I think is close, but I am not really sure. This is my first time programming so I am honestly a little lost but am seeing a little improvement already haha. What should I do to fix this, or should I scrap it and start over? Ideas? Thank you!

try to create new array to collect the words by index and other array for the count with index that match the #words array index - you can use <any_array>.append(<the value EX s[for loop count]>)> method to add value #to your array
