Finally, create a new variable named email_greeting that puts the treehouse variable and the name variable into the sentence "X loves Y" but with treehouse for X and name for Y.

i thought it was this

email_greeting = treehouse + "loves + name)

name = ('chey')
treehouse = "Tree" + "house"

should i add print

Your code looks a bit strange. You might like to study a bit more on python syntax.

Here

email_greeting = treehouse + "loves + name)

There shouldn't have been a parenthesis in the end, neither the double quotes without a matching one.

also here you don't need the parenthesis even though it might have accepted it as correct answer

name = ('chey')

for the email greeting it is expecting you to use .format with placeholders like it was shown in the previous video. Try to have a look on the video again on how the instructor uses .format. If you still can't solve it please let us know.
