Please help. I am not sure what going on here. I am using the "getElementsByTagName" method an the index...

var lastName = document.getElementsByTagName("last_name")[1];

var lastName = document.getElementsByTagName("span")[1];
I was stuck on this challenge too, simple error ugh!

11,368 PointsHi Bakari! When you use getElementByTagName you are supposed to target a TAG like div, p , input, etc... but you are targeting the class "last_name" so that's might be the problem here! What are you trying to do exactly?

6,556 Pointsthe code challenge doesn't work when you use getElementsByClassName, they want you to use getElememtsByTagName for some reason.
not sure why, could someone explain this?
