how do I set <p> elements to red

you will need to do it like so:

it is standardised to American spelling :)

.main-pg{boader: 4px solid;
  color: red;
  }

I tried that but it's not working

I can also see that border is spelled as 'boader'

and try this

.main-pg{border: 4px solid;
  font-color: red;
  }

/* if you want to set the border of the <p> to red then do this */

.main-pg{
            border: 4px solid red;
}
