You say that pictures on the web are always raster? What about SVG?

SVG's are not raster, they are vector, which is why they work so well with retina or high pixel density displays.

Yeah, that's interesting. This is definitely an older video. I don't know the timeline here when SVGs really become support in browsers vs when this video was recorded. That's a good catch, cause I still missed that when I watched it

I strongly suspect that this is an older video, the presentation doesn't correspond to the newer content on Treehouse.

I also wondered about that. SVG started to get widespread browser support in 2010. (except for IE ofc ^_^ ) It is definitely not correct anymore to say that vector images have to be converted to raster before they can be used on the web.

Where at in the video do you think it's wrong? I watched the whole 3:48 of the attached video to this question and didn't see any point were Allyson was wrong. Just want to make sure I'm not missing something too. I don't think they mentioned SVG in this video either.
