SVG: Join 2 SVGs Together

Hi, I have found some postcode district SVG maps online which I wish to join together as one SVG file. According to this page, it can be achieved (in the usage section).

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Template:Postcode_area_imagemap

In that example, all London postcode districts are joined together.

I Was wondering if someone can help explain how this would be done as I'm a bit confused. I want to join together all 121 UK postcode maps as one if possible. They are al listed individually on that page.

Could anyone who has any SVG knowledge of this help me or point me in the right direction. Any help would be much appreciated.
