Syntax error when trying to remove last item from list can someone please check this code?

states = [ 'ACTIVE', ['red', 'green', 'blue'], 'CANCELLED', 'FINISHED', 5, ]states.remove('5')

I am trying to remove last item '5' from this list and keep getting syntax error

lists.py 
states = [
    'ACTIVE',
    ['red', 'green', 'blue'],
    'CANCELLED',
    'FINISHED',
    5,
]states.remove('5')

5 isn't a string.

Don't put quotes over the 5. You should get it after that. I'm not sure if it matters or not but i'd also put states.remove(5) on a new line. Not sure if that last part matters though.
