:point_right: You somehow managed to remove the line that actually adds the modal to the document. You need to put that back in:

$("body").append($modal);

Also, you're adding your modal to your button here:

$dismissButton.append($modal);

I think you want to add your button to your modal instead:

$modal.append($dismissButton);
