Development Tools HTTP Basics Introduction to HTTP HTTP Requests Using Telnet

Telnet is not available anymore on High Sierra

So on the Sierra OS X version Telnet is not available anymore. I kept getting "command not found" so I started to google it and found that indeed Apple removed it => https://forums.developer.apple.com/thread/79056. So what are my options?

You can install telnet using brew.

brew install inetutils

If you don't have brew on your mac, here is the link to install it first.

Use netcat; it's the proper command, anyhow.

nc -C $domain http <<EOF
GET $uri HTTP/1.1
Host: $domain

EOF
