Hi im having some problems following the installing mysql server and workbench guide for os x. ive installed everything and have now reached the terminal stage and it is requesting a password... i've never set a password for my mac at any level and the software came all per-installed as i'm running boot-camp on it. ive heard from some other forums that i need to use the original disk to restart my machine and set the passwords but i'm not sure if this is a option as.. since then ive upgraded to the newer operating system and i dont now how it may effect boot-camp(i now it can be a bit temperamental).... would it just be simpler just to install it on my windows 7 side?

26,245 Pointsyep i've never had any, i've got a lot of passwords but none just for my mac however ive managed to solve my own problem by going into system preferences/ users - think it worked the only problem now is that my version of workbench looks completely different from his so still haven't got any further - think they have made a lot of changes to the layout since this was filmed.
