Hi there! What text editor would you recommend? Thanks!

These are two editors I personally use and recommend: Sublime Text and Adobe Brackets

This one is currently in beta, but looks to be promising: Github Atom

Carisa Leal Yup, Atom IMHO is going to be a great editor :)

I asked for a beta key for Atom - it looks cool. Hopefully it will be awesome!

I have been using Brackets. It is free and works for me. Coda is nice as well.

I'm with Patrick on using brackets. It's free and really customizable, I love the themes and the free add-ons you can download from inside the app from code hints to Ruby on Rails and Node.js commands. I'd try that first. But if you feel you have the money to spare and want to use something more of an industry standard, then use sublime text. Dreamweaver is overrated once you learn how to code for real.

I use Netbeans for any project with more than one file. Being unable to move files around in projects on editors like SublimeText (please let me know if there's a workaround for this) has been such a killer for me.

Though I'm going to try out Atom here soon.
