text-align center usage

Can we use text-align: center to center the images, divs as well? or text-aklign is only for text? as it sounds.

Text-align is as you stated mostly for text.

Other elements can be manipulated to centrer using other properties.

For example using margin: auto, can be used to center images and divs within there container.
