Really, I don´t know why this isn´t working :P it should
// I have imported java.io.Console for you. It is a variable called console.
String firstName = "";
console.readLine(firstName);
String lastName = "";
console.readLine(lastName);
console.printf("FirstName: %s", firstName);

1,161 PointsI assume the alert appears because you're not using the readLine method the correct way. It should be firstName = console.readLine("What is your first name?");
The firstName is set by assigning the result of the readLine to it, not by putting it into the emthod as a parameter.

// I have imported java.io.Console for you. It is a variable called console.
String firstName = console.readLine("What is your first name?");
String lastName = console.readLine("What is your last name?");
console.printf("First name: %s", firstName);
console.printf("Last name: %s", lastName);
