The * universal selector its not supported in old versions of IE?

Is that an issue I should be concerned about? considering we are using the universal selector to fix padding issues in this lesson.

would this incompatibilities be an issue when using this method to fix padding issues in larger projects?

The universal selector has support in IE 5.x and after.

Not many people are using older versions today, so I wouldnt worry about it too much :)
